Why Support The Symphony?
Supporting the Missoula Symphony Association means contributing to the core of this community—creativity. It means holding a place for future generations of musicians and music lovers, and keeping the arts alive and well in Missoula.
The Symphony has been playing for this community since 1954, from classical music to our Holiday Pops, Symphony in the Park, Family Concert and annual Youth Concerts for over 2,000 area 4th graders. Attendance has more than doubled in recent years, as more people discover the magic of live symphonic music.
We are filled with gratitude for this community’s overwhelming show of support, but we can’t rely on ticket sales alone to fund our work. In fact, most symphonies’ ticket sales cover just 1/3 of their costs— we are no exception. But these hurdles won’t stop us, and we’re still inspired to build on our achievements and realize a long-term vision that includes additional concerts, increased outreach to rural and low-income Montanans, and programs in the surrounding communities. To do that, we need your help.
Our individual and business donors know that donating to the Symphony means investing in a community where their friends, customers and employees live and work. They recognize the importance of the Symphony to Missoula’s cultural and economic vitality and, in turn, enhance their visibility and strengthen their reputation as community leaders. Please join us in celebrating and supporting the arts in Missoula by donating to the Symphony.
