Auditions for Section Strings
Auditions for section violin, viola, cello, and bass is tentatively scheduled in the Music Recital Hall at the University of Montana School of Music on Monday, August 31.
Previous years’ audition materials are available below for practice, though this will almost certainly change. Please complete our online audition form to connect with a MSA staff member and schedule your audition time.
While we do not currently have openings for winds, brass, or percussion, we welcome interested players to audition for placement on our substitute list. Auditions for non-string instruments are done on an as-needed basis, approximately once a year.
2026-2027 Symphony Chorale New Member Auditions
Chorale auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th in room 218 (Choir room) at the UM School of Music.
