Experience a vibrant spectrum of sound in Kaleidoscopic Colors, a program that explores the many shades and textures of orchestral music.
The concert begins with selections from Mary Watkins’ Five Movements in Color, a dynamic work that blends jazz, classical traditions, and vivid orchestral writing to create a rich musical palette.
World-renowned flutist Demarre McGill joins the Missoula Symphony to perform Kevin Puts’ Flute Concerto. This expressive and captivating work highlights the flute’s incredible range.
The evening continues with Dvořák’s spirited Slavonic Dances, performed side-by-side with musicians from the Missoula Youth Symphony in a special collaboration that celebrates the next generation of artists.
The program concludes with Dvořák’s powerful Symphony No. 7, a dramatic and emotionally charged masterpiece filled with sweeping melodies and thrilling orchestral moments.
Join us for a concert where every piece adds a new color to the musical canvas.
